Property Description

Comfortable secluded bungalow in woodland setting, well equipped, spacious 3 bedroom, sleeping up to 6, close to all amenities. Talisker Forest Lodge offers stunning, secluded access to Rothiemurchus Estate in the Cairngorm National Park.  This property is located less than 5 minutes by car from the centre of Aviemore and is quietly tucked away behind Pinewood Cottage approximately 100 metres up a quiet lane running from the main Cairngorm ski road at Inverdruie to Tullochgrue and Whitewells.

Inside the Property

Talisker's spacious, well equipped, open plan kitchen , CD player, and dining room lead to the 30sq metre lounge with large windows and patio doors which look directly on to the forest over the heather laden garden which also has a pond.  The lounge features leather sofas and a Swedish log burning stove. Wif fi and BOSE Ipod docking system.  Also overlooking the forest is a twin bedded room with large family bathroom opposite and the en suite Master King bedroom.  To the front is a further en suite double bedroom.  The house was extensively upgraded in January 2009 with new central heating and a 250litre boiler giving unlimited hot water for showers and warmth in the colder weather. Please note that Sky Freeview is not available in the area until Summer 2010

Outside the Property

Although secluded, with stunning forest views to the rear, just minutes away are the farm shop , mountain bike hire and two restaurants.  The forest garden to the rear allows direct access by foot to Loch an Eilean and beyond.  For mountain bikers all the Rothiemurchus Estate trails are accessed from the front of the house.  For families with young children, please note there is a pond in the garden.  There is ample car parking space for 2 cars directly in front of the lodge.
